First let me tell you a bit more about Life Book in case you haven’t heard about it yet!

“Life Book, a celebration and honouring of YOU” is a year-long mixed media art class organised by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts.

Tam is joined by 23 incredible art teachers who are all gearing up to share their mixed media techniques, tips and tricks with YOU! Themed around self-development and healing, you’ll be creating several loose mixed media art journal pages per month which by the end of the year you will bind into a glorious journal (a Life Book)! You will have a wonderful keepsake that you can treasure for the rest of your life!

You can find out a lot more about this wildly popular course (it has been joined by over 8700 people in the past!) by clicking HERE.

I haven’t fully developed my class idea yet, but I’m excited to be sharing with you how to find your own voice in your art through personally meaningful symbolism and how to build texture with mediums and pastes, much like you can see in these paintings:

  1. Hi Lisa! I would love to win a spot in the LB 2016 class. Through Tam, I understand the value of exploring myself and my feelings, through art and I would love to participate in LB to do exactly that. The last few years have been very difficult and plagued with personal losses, but it’s time to turn a corner and I can’t think of a better way to start a new year than to start it with the journey through LB with other like minded souls. Congratulations on becoming a member of the LB teaching staff and thank you for the opportunity to enter the give away. XOX juliembear@msn.com.com

  41. Shared on Facebook and subscribed to your newsletter. I’m attending these draws, because they are the only way (with scolarships of course) for Life Book to be possible for me, since every cent available goes towards my studies to become an OT. Yet I’d really enjoy in taking part of this year long course.

  42. I would love to win this for all of the above reasons and more. I just know this would be so life expanding in so many ways. Please let it me me but good luck to every one else too!…

  43. Besides giving me a push to get started in mixed media – I would love to see the work of all the teachers. Everything I've seen so far is amazing. I hope some of the talent will rub off on me during the class.
I've signed up for the newsletter. I posted a notice about the giveaway on FB (from another site)
    thanks.

  44. I want to be seen and heard in 2016!

I deal with many challenges and illnesses (mental and physical) and have had turmoil in my relationships of late, leading me to feel quite invisible and worthless. While I am working diligently in group and individual therapy, there’s something missing.

I want to be seen for who I am not WHAT I my labels say. There’s so much more to me than my health concerns. Perhaps this class isn’t a panacea for all that ails me, but I hope it will help me to find myself and what moves me. I want to be able to define myself on paper in a NEW way, one that isn’t in my psychiatrist’s or physician’s reference manual. I seek a definition of myself with pulp and juice that will energize me!

A monthly class will also give me a monthly goal- something that is essential to someone with recurring major depression. Creativity is an outlet for me and having a monthly forum for that passion would benefit me in so many ways. It would keep me out of bed and interacting in my life. i will be creating art and, when I like what I create, I tend to show others. That gets me interacting with people- something that is very hard for me to do at times.

thank you for considering me for this class.

  45. I recently stepped down from my career to focus on family and I have also discovered a passion for art, especially mixed media. I would be honored to learn from all of the fabulous teachers involved with Lifebook 2016. Thank you for the opportunity to win a spot!

I'd love to win a seat because since starting to do LB this year, I can't imagine a life with no LB in it – no Monday's looking forward to the new lesson, no more artistic and personal growth, no more LB community, where so many wonderful people come together from all around the world, to share what they most enjoy – art. So yes, a free seat would be a wonderful prize, and I want to thank you for this opportunity.
